TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Executive Director of Indonesian Political Indicators Burhanuddin Muhtadi, explained the results of a survey conducted by his agency regarding electronic traffic ticket policies. After manual tickets were no longer applied, 68.5 percent of the public was in favor of electronic ticketing policy.

"Most have agreed, this is advice for the police institution. What the Chief of Police conveys has received a very positive response. But there are still 48.1 percent who are not aware," Burhanuddin said via the Indonesian Political Indicator YouTube channel on Sunday, November 28, 2022.

Burhanuddin stated that those who disagreed with the policies are about 21.9 percent. While those who are unaware or refused to answer were about 9.6 percent.

According to him, the positive response toward the policies will increase if socialization continues to be encouraged. "If public awareness increases regarding the chief of police's policies to prohibit manual tickets and enforce electronic tickets, the potential for public support will grow," he said.

The Indonesian Political Indicator Survey was conducted from October 30 to November 5 2022. The survey was aimed at Indonesian citizens aged at least 17 years old.

Samples were gathered by utilizing a multistage random sampling method by taking as many as 1,200 respondents. They were interviewed face to face with quality control of the interview results of 20 percent.
