TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A fisherman found a chair with the logo of the Indonesian National Police floating in the sea. It is suspected that the seat belongs to the Aerial and Marine Police Corps (Polairud) that disappeared in Buku Limau, East Belitung Regency on Sunday, November 27 2022.

The fisherman who found the helicopter seat is named Sobri, 42 years old, a resident of Dusun Tengah, Desa Baru, Manggar. At the time when he was about to head home after fishing in the sea.

Sobri stated that he found the helicopter seat when he was about to head home due to the weather conditions. After being struck by the harsh wind and rain, Sobri continued his journey to the shores.

"At around 14:00 WIB, I saw many things floating in the sea. I only take the chair that has a police logo on it. I took it home because it is still in good condition," Said Sobri to Tempo on Sunday evening, November 27, 2022.

Sobri claimed he was not aware of the news of the missing helicopter. The discovery of the seat floating, he said, was about three miles from the coast of Manggar. "When I reached the shores, I found out about the news of the missing helicopter. I handed over the helicopter seat to the officers at the rescue post," he said.

Head of Public Relations of the Bangka Belitung Regional Police, Chief Commissioner Ahmad Maladi, said the NBO 105/P-1103 helicopter belonged to the Baharkam Police Corps which will be returned to the Aerial and Marine Police Corps base after being seconded in Central Kalimantan.

"The crew on the helicopter were Arif Rahman Saleh as the captain and members, along with Lasminto, Joko and Anam," he said.

Maladi added that his group and related parties coordinated to search the location where the helicopter was suspected to have crashed.
