TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) continues to detect the movement of the 94S tropical cyclone over the Indian Ocean which is now located beside southern Central Java. BMKG says the weather forecast on Monday will be affected by this cyclone and the latest 97W cyclone seed over the South China Sea southwest of Vietnam.

These cyclones are moving west-northwest and their impact on Indonesia's weather is moderate to heavy rain in the Riau Islands, Bangka Belitung Islands, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, and North Kalimantan.

Ocean waves are predicted to reach the height of 2.5-4.0 meters in the North Natuna Sea and strong winds with a speed of 20-25 knots are predicted to occur in Riau, Jambi, Riau Islands, Bangka Belitung Islands, West Kalimantan, and Central Kalimantan.

The BMKG also monitors the existence of a cyclonic circulation around the Papua region which has formed a convergence area that extends from southern Papua to the western waters of Papua. The same situation is also observed in the northern Pacific Ocean of West Papua and in northern Western Australia.
