MRT Jakarta Extends Operating Hours until Midnight

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - City-owned PT MRT Jakarta has revised its policy on mass rapid transit’s operating hours. Starting Tuesday, November 15, Ratangga will operate until 24:00 Jakarta time.
Rendi Alhilal, the head of the company’s secretariat unit, said in a statement in Jakarta that the adjustment to the operating schedule was a follow-up to the instruction of the city’s Transporation Agency.
“In line with that, MRT’s operating time policy has been adjusted,” said Rendi.
The Transportation Agency head issued an instruction letter number 486 of 2022 on technical instructions for setting the transportation capacity and operational hours during the implementation of the public mobility restrictions or PPKM level 1.
The operational adjustment of the city’s urban train will be as follows
MRT Jakarta operates from 05:00 to 24:00 WIB on Monday-Friday (weekdays) and from 06:00 to 24:00 WIB on Saturday-Sunday (weekends) or holidays.
The train’s headway will be 5 minutes on weekdays during peak hours (07:00-09:00 WIB and 17:00-19:00 WIB) and every 10 minutes outside of peak hours, while on weekends or holidays, it will be 10 minutes.
