TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Adjundant Senior Commissioner Dody Prawiranegara has officially requested a justice collaborator status in the drug trafficking case. The proposal was submitted to the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK).

Lawyer Adriel Viari Purba said that two of his other clients, Samsul Maarif alias Arif and Linda Pujiastuti, also took the same steps.

"We have disclosed everything and as their attorney, we hope that our client will be accepted as a justice collaborator," said Adriel at the LPSK Office, Jakarta on Monday, October 24, 2022.

Adriel hoped that the proposal can be granted soon for security albeit the agency needs to review various files before determining such a status for the three suspects.

"We hope that it will be done soon because we see the potential for intervention or intimidation from certain parties. Because he (Teddy) is a [police] general. This is not an arbitrary case," Adriel emphasized.

As reported previously, former West Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Teddy Minahasa allegedly ordered Dody–the Bukittinggi Police chief at the time–to take five kilograms of the total 41.4-kilogram crystal meth evidence. Dody then instructed his aide Arif to replace the illegal drugs with alum. The crystal meth was allegedly sold via Linda as the dealer. The sales target was in Jakarta.

All the suspects in this case, including Teddy Minahasa, are charged with violating Law No.35/2009. They are facing the maximum death penalty or a minimum of 20 years in prison.
