TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the National Police (Polri) general Dedi Prasetyo in a written statement on Thursday assured that surviving victims of the deadly football mass stampede at the Kanjuruhan stadium will continue to receive medical treatment until they fully recover.

“The orders of the Police Chief is to maximally treatment the victims, provide their medication, up to their families,” Dedi wrote in the statement on October 13. He also mentioned trauma healing treatments for the survivors, Antaranews reported.

He explained that medical teams from 10 Police Hospitals under the East Java Police are mobilized to actively reach victims of the football tragedy. Dedi also highlighted that the East Java police will actively seek the survivors and help with their treatment at home.

"We also actively [offer door-to-door treatment]. These patients, such as outpatients, if they need eye control, open stitches, change bandages, for example, they don't have to go far to reach medical services," said Dedi.

For victims of the Kanjuruhan disaster who are in conditions that do not require special medical equipment or complicated medical treatment, he offered them to reach the local Bhabinkamtibmas, which are police officers stationed in villages. "Our officers will come to serve," said Dedi.
