TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan has instructed the Bali Provincial Government to reduce community mobilization during the G20 Summit. He opined that remote learning and work-from-home policies are necessary when the international forum takes place in November.

Pak Governor [of Bali] is expected to help this. I think it is not a problem because we are used to it during COVID-19. This is very helpful for the G20 Summit,” said Luhut in a written statement on Wednesday, October 5, 2022.

The Bali government is also asked to educate local drivers on operating electric vehicles. According to him, the involvement of local drivers in the summit is vital so that the community can also gain benefits from this event.

Luhut has visited a number of points where the G20 Summit will be held next month. Together with his entourage, he started the journey from the VVIP Ngurah Rai International Airport Hotel to The Apurva Kempinski Bali, Badung.

Luhut stated that preparations have made progress, including infrastructures and other supporting aspects. “I ask the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, and the Ministry of Health to work together,” he said.
