TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Metro Police planned to mobilize 602 personnel to secure the 8th G20 Parliamentary Speakers Summit (P20) which will take place at the Senayan Parliament Complex on October 5-7, 2022.

“We have prepared 602 troops, of which 40 members of the military (TNI) are also involved,” said the Metro Police Head of the Operational Bureau, Sr. Comr. Marsudianto, at his office on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.

Metro Police Chief Inspector General Muhammad Fadil Imran in his briefing asked the personnel to apply the tailor-make concept. “So all decisions that we will take must be adjusted to the dynamic conditions on the ground,” he explained.

At the upcoming Parliamentary Speakers Summit, he added, all potential disturbances and threats that may arise will be the main concern of security and escort. “Such as the threat of demonstrations, sabotage attempts, interventions, and others that can disrupt the event,” he said.

Fadil Imran thus would prepare security at several points to avoid disturbances. “Starting from Soekarno Hatta Airport, P20 delegation hotels, to the DPR/MPR Building, and carry out traffic diversion.”
