TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that the police decided to detain Putri Candrawathi, a suspect in the murder case of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat, also known as Brigadier J, at the police detention center on Friday, September 30, 2022.

The detention, Listyo said, aimed at easing the transfer process of suspects and evidence in the murder case and the obstruction of justice case.

"To facilitate the transfer of files and suspects, the Police detained Putri Candrawati today," said Listyo Sigit at the Rupatama building, the National Police HQ, Friday, September 30, 2022.

The wife of suspect Ferdy Sambo was detained after undergoing physical and mental health checks at the police's criminal investigation department. Based on Tempo's monitoring, Putri was accompanied by her lawyers, Arman Hanis and Rasamala Aritonang.

Previously, the National Police spokesman Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo said that the Criminal Investigation Department would hand over 12 suspects and evidence for the Brigadier J murder case and the obstruction of justice case to the Public Prosecutor on Monday, October 3, 2022.
