TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A young man from Madiun, Muhammad Agung Hidayatullah alias MAH, who was arrested previously for helping a hacker Bjorka is charged under a number of articles of Electronic Information and Transactions or ITE Law.

“MAH is charged under Article 46, 30, and 31 of the ITE Law,” said the National Police’s Head of the Public Affairs Unit Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo at the Trans-National Crime Center (TNCC) building at the Police HQ on Monday, September 19, 2022.

The two-star general explained a special team is still working to hunt down the hacker. He claimed the police could not yet confirm whether the hacker is a foreigner or an Indonesian citizen.

The police, he added, are also looking for other suspects other than MAH.

“Yes, of course [there are other people being investigated]. [The investigation is] still underway,” said Dedi.

On Friday, September 16, the National Police’s spokesperson Sr. Comr. Ade Yaya Suryana said the 21-year-old man was suspected to be the provider of Bjorka's Telegram channel, Bjorkanism. Based on the police questioning, MAH helped the hacker to gain famous and earn money.

Previously reported, Bjorka claimed to have hacked presidential data and obtained presidential letters and top-secret documents from the intelligence agency. The hacker also disclosed sensitive data belonging to a number of state officials, including the Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) Minister Johnny G. Plate.
