TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo at the National Police Headquarters on Tuesday announced the development of the murder case of police Brigadier J or Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat. After naming Ferdy Sambo as a suspect, he also revealed 11 other officers who have been detained over ethical code violations.

The police chief said that a special team under the command of Deputy Police Chief Gatot Eddy Pramono has interrogated a total of 31 police personnel related to this case, from previously 25 people. Listyo Sigit said 11 of them are under arrest.

“Yesterday, there was 25 personnel who we interrogated and now has grown to 31 personnel,” said the National Police Chief on Tuesday, August 9. “Eleven personnel have received special placement orders and will likely increase.”

The police chief did not reveal the details of the police officers who have been put behind bars. He only said that these police personnel have allegedly worked unprofessionally in handling the murder case against Brigadier J.

"At the time of investigating and processing the crime scene, it was found that there were things that hindered the investigation. And among the irregularities are the loss of CCTV and other things, which rose to allegations that things were covered up and engineered," said Listyo Sigit.

The National Police Chief also stated that a special team had named Ferdy Sambo as a suspect in this case on Tuesday morning.

During the investigation, it was found that there was no shootout between Brigadier J and Bharada E or Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu. The National Police Chief stated that what happened was that Richard was ordered by Ferdy Sambo to shoot Brigadier J.
