Indonesia COVID-19 Update on July 4: 1,434 New Cases, 9 Deaths

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia continued to record new cases of COVID-19. Based on the government data on Monday, July 4, at 12 p.m., 1,434 new infections were detected over the past 24 hours.

The country’s total tally has thus far reached 6,095,351 since the first case was announced on March 2, 2020.

The number of recovered patients increased by 1,868, bringing the total number of survivors to 5,922,117 people.

The number of patients who succumbed to the illness also rose by nine people. To date, the death toll from COVID-19 in the archipelago reached 156,758 cases.

Other than positive cases, the government is monitoring 3,215 people who are suspected of being exposed to the virus. There were also 70,228 test specimens to be examined today.
