TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesia Masters 2022 is slated to be held on June 7-12, 2022, at Istora Senayan, Central Jakarta. The Indonesian Badminton Association (PP PBSI) confirmed that 26 shuttlers will participate in the BWF World Tour Super 500 tournament.

The upcoming event will be the first badminton match to be held in Indonesia and attended by spectators after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Five Indonesian shuttlers will participate in the men's singles, while the two representatives will compete in the women's singles. Seven pairs of shuttlers will play in the men's doubles and women's doubles. Besides, there will be five pairs competing in the mixed doubles. Of the 26 representatives, six of them will begin from the qualifying round.

Indonesia's best men's doubles pair, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon and Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo or Kevin/Marcus, will likely get the world’s attention. This was because Marcus had just recovered from an injury and was absent from the 2022 Thomas Cup.
