TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Police's Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim) spokesman, Brig. Gen. Ahmad Ramadhan, said victims of the illegal trading robot DNA Pro trading have now reached 3,621 people with a total loss of Rp551.72 billion.

“There have been 3,621 victims with a total loss of Rp551,725,456,000 so far. We suspect that DNA Pro practices a trading robot using the Ponzi scheme,” said Ramadhan during a press conference at the National Police Headquarters, Friday, May 27, 2022.

He explained that PT DNA Pro Akademi was not registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Authority (CoFTRA) at the Trade Ministry. This became the basis for the police to follow up on the victims’ reports.

Director of Bareskrim’s Special Economic Crimes Brig. Gen. Whisnu Hermawan said investigators and the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) are still tracking the illegal firm’s assets and the flow of funds.

“Investigators are still working with PPATK to trace assets allegedly in the country and abroad,” said Whisnu on the same occasion.

According to him, the amount of money in this crime was subject to increase. Besides, other assets in the form of movable and immovable property belonging to the suspects are still being traced.

The police have named 12 people as suspects in this investment fraud case. Nine of them have been arrested, namely Daniel Abe, Rudy Kusuma, Roby Setiadi, Russel, Yoshua, Try Sutrisno, Franky, Jerry Gunandar, and Stefanus Richard.

The other two suspects, Daniel Zii and Ferawaty alias Fei, are reportedly on the run and were suspected to be abroad. The police have also asked Interpol to issue a red notice for them.
