Indonesia Logs 479 New Covid-19 Cases, 6 Deaths on January 8

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The number of daily Covid-19 positive cases in Indonesia continues to increase. Based on the Task Force data as per 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, there were 479 additional cases within the past 24 hours.

In total, Covid-19 cases in the country reached 4,265,666 people since the announcement of the first patients infected with the Coronavirus on March 2, 2020.

Meanwhile, 175 patients have recovered, totaling the Covid survivors to 4,115,747 people. But six people ceased to the disease, adding the Covid-19 death toll in Indonesia to 144,127 people.

The government also monitoring 5,646 Covid suspects. Today also saw a total of 278,688 specimens related to Coronavirus being tested.
