Top 5 Most Relaxed Countries in the World; Indonesia Takes First Place

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - London-based travel-tech company, Lastminute.com, conducted a study on the most relaxed countries in the world, and Indonesia emerged as the top contender. This, however, does not imply that it is a lazy country, but rather the ideal country to relish in a day off. 

Several factors were considered in determining this title, including weather, environment, culture, number of holidays, number of spas, green spaces, and human rights.

Here is the list of the top five most relaxed countries in the world:

1. Indonesia

The archipelagic country of Indonesia is always exposed to sunlight as it lies on the equatorial line, making its temperature and weather extremely favorable, particularly for foreign tourists. Its average temperature is 25 degrees Celsius. 

The country also boasts more than 186 green spaces and cultural spas scattered throughout its well-known tourist destinations. It is the most leisurely nation with excellent facilities for entertaining visitors from all over the globe.

2. Australia

The Kangaroo country has the finest score in the environmental category, particularly concerning natural resources and human rights. Additionally, it provides its workforce with 30 days of annual leave.

Australia also features over 187 verdant open spaces and 40,000 coastlines stretching across the country, making it the perfect destination for surfing enthusiasts.

3. Iceland

4. New Zealand
