TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta-owned bus operator PT Transjakarta opened a new bus route serving the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) in North Jakarta and Harmoni in Central Jakarta to provide transportation access to the new stadium.

The opening of the new route followed up on the city’s Transportation Agency Decree No. 352 of 2021 on the trial of public transportation services to the stadium by Transjakarta.

“We support the government's program to provide transportation that is integrated with JIS to ease people to travel to JIS,” said Transjakarta spokesperson Angelina Betris in Jakarta, Thursday, December 9, as quoted by Antara.

Two medium fleets will be mobilized for the new route, operating from Monday to Friday at 6-10 a.m. and 3 -9 p.m. with a ticket fare of Rp3,500 one way. The travel time is estimated to be 20 minutes.

Transjakarta also planned to provide three more routes to JIS from Kebon Jeruk in West Jakarta, Warung Buncit in South Jakarta, and UKI in East Jakarta.

The Jakarta International Stadium-Harmoni route is integrated with five Transjakarta routes, namely Corridor 1 (Blok M - Kota), Corridor 3 (Kalideres - Pasar Baru), Corridor 5 (Kampung Melayu - Ancol), and Corridor 12 (Tanjung Priok - Pluit).
