TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta deputy governor Ahmad Riza Patria said that since Monday, October 25, 2021, there are no more neighborhood units or RT in the capital with red and orange zone statuses for Covid-19 transmissions. Riza also said that the number of deaths from Covid-19 in Jakarta has been curbed.

In the last 20 days in Jakarta, he said, nine days recorded zero Covid deaths. He also ensured that the target to vaccinate 11.4 million of the capital's population would be met next month.

"These statistics must encourage us to be more disciplined. Because we don't want cases to rise again," Riza said via his Instagram account @arizapatria on Tuesday, October 26.

Yesterday, Jakarta logged 82 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 while the number of active cases fell by 86 to 1,053.

Over the past week, the Health Office recorded a positivity rate of 0.5 percent. As of yesterday, 10,829,633 people have received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine while 8,257,773 have got their second shots.
