TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta-owned bus operator PT Transportasi Jakarta or Transjakarta has now required would-be passengers to present a Covid-19 vaccination certificate upon entering the bus stop. The information is announced via its Instagram account.

This new policy removed the previous rule regarding the mandatory worker registration certificate or STRP which is now no longer valid. This was in accordance with the Decree of the Transportation Agency Head No. 321 of 2021 which requires all transport users to have a vaccination certificate.

Passengers with a certificate of the first dose of vaccination are also allowed to access Transjakarta services. However, there are exceptions for those who do not have a vaccination certificate, including people willing to reach a health facility to take part in the Covid-19 vaccination.

As for pregnant women with gestational age less than 13 weeks, they are allowed to ride the city bus by presenting a certificate from a doctor, while breastfeeding mothers must be vaccinated which is proved by the certificate.

People who have just recovered from Covid-19, meanwhile, can show a certificate from a doctor which is valid no later than three months after recovery. Would-be passengers with congenital diseases must also show a certificate from a doctor.

Children aged 12 years old and under can now access Transjakarta bus services but they must be accompanied by their parents.
