TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Governor’s decree No.966/2021 requires people to get their first Covid-19 vaccine dose before being allowed to enter shopping centers or malls. This latest decree applies to both general visitors and employees of such a business.

The new rule’s only exception applies to those who are within the three-month period of having been exposed to Covid-19. They are required to show a laboratory test result in replacement of a vaccine certificate or a medical certificate.

However, due to the level-4 public activity restriction (PPKM Level 4), malls and public recreational locations only allow essential and critical businesses to remain open.

Businesses that serve online sales are allowed to have a maximum of three employees stationed at their store, restaurant, or supermarket who are bound to strictly follow activity guidelines introduced in the Governor’s Decree effective from August 3.

Restaurant and cafe businesses that are located inside malls are permitted to operate but must only serve takeaways. For food and beverages businesses, dine-in activities are temporarily banned to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
