PPKM Level 4; Jakarta Malls Remain Closed

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan issued a Governor Decree concerning the Implementation of Covid-19 curbs in the capital dubbed the PPKM Level 4.
The decree regulates, among others, the operations of malls or trade centers. The malls will remain closed during the restriction period.
"[The malls are] temporarily closed except for access for store employees who serve online sales with a maximum of three people per shop, restaurant, and supermarket," said Anies.
Meanwhile, supermarkets and other markets in which are selling daily necessities may operate only until 20:00. Maximum visitor capacity is 50 percent by implementing strict health protocols. The market also must follow the operating hours set during the PPKM Level 4 period.
Other than that, traditional markets and people's markets that sell non-daily necessities may open until 15:00.
"Operational hours are limited to 3 pm with a visitor capacity of 50 percent," as stated in the governor decree.
Anies Baswedan signed Kepgub 938/2021 concerning PPKM Level 4 on July 26, 2021. It also includes regulations for food stalls or warteg, street vendors (PKL), hawker stalls, and such may operate until 20:00. Diners will be given time to dine in for 20 minutes.
