TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - South Jakarta Metro Resort Police named a celebrity Dinar Candy as a suspect in a pornography case for staging a street rally by wearing only a bikini and uploaded the act to social media.

“We have named DC as a suspect in the alleged crime of pornography as stated in Law No. 36 of 2008,” said South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Comr. Azis Andriansyah at his office, Thursday, August 5.

The disc jockey, Aziz explained, faces charges which carried a maximum sentence of up to 10 years behind bars or a fine of Rp5 billion.

The police examined several witnesses, including experts. “There were witnesses at the scene, not only the DC’s sister. There were also experts in the field of decency, culture, and so on,” he added.

In the video uploaded by Dinar on her personal social media account on Wednesday, she was seen protesting against the extension of the public mobility restrictions or PPKM. She donned a red two-piece bikini on the side of the road.

As the video went viral on social media, the police arrested Dinar Candy at her friend's house on Jalan Fatmawati, South Jakarta, on Wednesday night. Dinar's sister who filmed the protest was also arrested and named as a witness.
