TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta-owned bus operator PT Transjakarta Operational Director, Prasetia Budi, announced that passengers of the city bus are obliged to present a worker registration document or STRP starting today, July 12.

The city administration previously demanded essential and critical sector employees who are still working in offices to pocket STRP during the implementation of the emergency state of the public activity restriction (PPKM Darurat), which takes effect from July 3 until July 20, 2021.

“Our officers will inspect it,” said Prasetia in a written statement in Jakarta, Sunday, July 11.

The mandatory document for mass transport users is regulated in the Circular Letter of the Transportation Ministry No. 49 of 2021 on the amendment of the ministry’s Decree No. 43 of 2021 on the guidelines for domestic travel by land transport amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

During the Emergency PPKM, Prasetia went on, passengers must also bring a certificate from the local government and a letter from the government institution’s head of at least echelon 2 or the head of the essential and critical sector company.

State apparatus and civil servants, as well as health workers, can particularly show their identification cards (ID Card).

“The public and private employees who cannot present the STRP and the required letter are not allowed to use Transjakarta services,” said Prasetia.
