TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Starting Thursday, June 3, 2021, Transjakarta buses' operating hours will return to normal schedule, from 05:00 to 22:00 WIB (Western Indonesia Time). This applies to both the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and non-BRTs.

"With this adjustment, our hope is for passengers need to be on the go can have good mobility for their activities," Transjakarta director Sardjono Jhony Tjitrokusumo said in a written statement on the same day.

On Sunday, May 23, Transjakarta's operating hours were cut short by 30 minutes. Buses could only serve passengers from 05:00 to 21:30.

At that time, the operating hours of special buses for health workers were extended from 22:00 to 23:00. As of June 3, 2021, the schedule remains the same for this type of bus.

However, the rule to cap passengers' maximum capacity of 50 percent is still applied. For double buses, the maximum is 60 people, for medium buses 30, and small buses 15.

The operating hour's adjustment complies with following the Jakarta Transportation Service Decree Number 210 of 2021. The adjustment was made after the Governor Anies Baswedan extended the micro restriction on public activities (PPKM) until June 14, 2021.
