TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Adisucipto Yogyakarta Airport is officially offering Covid-19 vaccination for air travel passengers passing through the airport. This comes after the government has made vaccinations mandatory for air travel during the emergency PPKM (public activity restriction).
The airport’s general manager Agus Pandu Purnama said the vaccination center is facilitated by state-owned airport operator Angkasa Pura I which supports the government’s goal to conduct 1 million vaccinations in July and 2 million vaccinations in August.
“The vaccination center is hoped to facilitate the public, especially air travel passengers in obtaining Covid-19 vaccines and quickly realize herd immunity,” Purnama wrote in a statement on July 7, Antaranews reports.
He explained that the vaccination center is located at the east side of the airport nearby the rapid test facilities with operational hours from 09:00 up to 12:00. The vaccine used will be produced by Sinovac.
