TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Hasan Sadikin General Hospital in Bandung (RSHS Bandung) announced it will host a Covid-19 vaccination for the general public starting on July 1st. They say the waiting list is full until August.
Roughly 8,000 people have registered within three hours since the online registration was opened a few days ago. In the afternoon, the number of people signing up increased to 26,000 in the afternoon.
“There are roughly 36,000 people who have registered,” said RSHS Bandung acting director of medical services Yana Akhmad Supriatna on June 24.
The Bandung hospital has a daily vaccination capacity of 1,000 on workdays and they predict it will help vaccinate 21,000 in July. “The rest of the applicants [will be vaccinated] the following month,” said Supriatna.
The registration was opened on June 22 for people aged 18 and above. The Covid-19 vaccination will be held at the sixth floor of the general hospital’s Anggrek and Vertical Garden areas. This program utilizes Sinovac vaccines produced by Bio Farma.
