TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Thousands of tourists flocked Ragunan Zoo on the national holiday of the Pancasila Day, June 1.
Ragunan Zoo public relations head Wahyudi Bambang said that until 13:00, the management recorded there were 17,139 people visiting the tourist destination.
The number was claimed to be under the zoo capacity during the pandemic of 30,000 visitors.
Those who can enter are people with Jakarta ID and those who had pre-registered themselves online on Ragunan official website.
Wahyudi ensured that the health measures were strictly implemented despite many pople visiting the park. There was even no lines at the entrance gate.
"Satpol PP and police officers helped us for security measures," he told Tempo on tuesday, June 1. In addition, officers of Jakarta Transportation Department also helped to manage the traffic in the vicinity of Ragunan area.
