TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Covid-19 Handling Task Force has issued a new Circular No. 12 of 2021 concerning domestic travel during the pandemic. Several changes were made in the latest issuance from the previous circular No. 7/2021.

“The latest circular letter takes effect starting April 1, 2021, until a specified time as needed,” said the task force spokesperson, Wiku Adisasmito, in a press conference, Tuesday, March 30, 2021.

The changes include the validity period of negative PCR results from 3x24 hours to 2x24 hours specifically for trips to and from Bali, an alternative Covid-19 test using GeNose on the site of departure location at airports, ports, train stations, and rest areas.

Besides, people taking sea transportation are obliged to present a negative result of antigen or genome test. “The GeNose test is only valid for one trip, including for the transit using air transport,” Wiku added.

According to Wiku, the changes were issued based on decisions of ministries and related institutions.

People are urged to support the government’s efforts in reviving public productivity while considering the health aspect to stay safe during traveling. Officers in the field enforcing the regulations also provide the most impactful contribution.

“Obey the policies (in travel regulations), apply it with full responsibility because no matter how good the policies are,, if there is no implementation, it will destabilize the current Covid-19 handling,” said Wiku.
