TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Metro Jaya Police is currently investigating the affiliation between restricted organization FPI (Islamic Defender Front) and suspected terrorist in Condet identified as HH. During HH's arrest, Police discovered FPI's attributes such as books, shirts, and calendar.

"Yes, including [finding of FPI's attributes], if there is an affiliation it is just a preliminary finding, it is being investigated by Densus 88," said Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Mohammad Fadil Imran on Monday, March 29, 2021.

Fadil refused to make further speculations concerning the possible affiliation of the group with the recently arrested terrorist group.

"What is important is efforts to carry acts of terror by using explosives or bombs in Jakarta are being monitored, detected, and prevented," Fadil said.

During a press release at the Metro Jaya Police headquarter, several swords and books and FPI attributes were present. One of the items was a book titled "FPI Amar Ma'ruf Nahi Munkar". In addition, there was a green and white shirt with 'Laskar Pembela Islam' presented during the press release.

Tempo also noted two FPI identity card with HH's name on it. Vide CD's and posters of former FPI leader Rizieq Shihab were also confiscated by the Police.
