TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The West Kalimantan Police announced the arrest of three suspected terrorists that were captured in an operation led by the antiterrorist group Densus 88. Police say that the three suspects that are all in their twenties are affiliated with the terrorist cell Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD).
“Based on the interrogation on the three suspects, they are JAD cells. They all are undergoing questioning at the West Kalimantan Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) headquarters,” said West Kalimantan Police spokesperson Senior Commissioner Donny Charles Go on February 17.
The three suspected terrorists were arrested in three separate locations as RE (28) was captured in Pontianak City, M (20) in Singkawang City, and MR (27) in Kubu Raya.
This police operation was led by the West Kalimantan Police’s general crime unit Senior Commissioner Luthfie Sulistiawan, which also involved other police units in the province. “One of the arrests was made at the waters where the suspect was brought in with the water and air police unit (Polairud),” said Commissioner Donny.
