TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) spokesperson Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak on Wednesday announced that his office is currently analyzing an alleged hacking of its employees’ database that had been uploaded to a hackers' online forum.

He said the office’s Pusdaskrimti or Center for Criminal Statistics and Information Technology is currently monitoring its entire system and making sure that the systems within the AGO are working normally and safe from any cyber crime.

“Pusdaskrimti is currently investigating whether it is an old or new case of hacking,” said Leonard on Wednesday, February 17.

However, to follow up this alleged data breach, they are in close contact with the country’s National Cyber and Encryption Agency (BSSN) to find the cause. The employees have also been ordered to strengthen the passwords they use to access the Attorney General’s Office app.

It had been previously reported that a user in raidforums.com had uploaded a plethora of sensitive data obtained from hacking AGO employees’ personal identity such as their names, phone numbers, email addresses with domains linking them to the Attorney General’s Office, and employee number.
