TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - West Jakarta’s Tambora Police Sector is identifying the man who died of jumping from the Season City Mall parking area, he was around 40 years old.

"He did not bring any identities," said Tambora Police Chief, Commissioner Faruk Rozi in Jakarta, Friday evening, Feb. 12. The authorities only found a night bus ticket from East Java, with a departure dated Thursday, January 11, 2021.

The man did not even bring cash or cellular. The police are trying to find out his identity and who is his family or relatives. The CCTV record showed that he jumped from the 6A floor of the mall parking lot at around 16:20, Jakarta time.

The footage also showed that the man walked to the 6th floor, and met a security officer who was patrolling at the mall. The officer told him to not get close to the building divider.

The Season City mall security then went away to continue his patrol. Five minutes after that, the man jumped and died. “The body was brought to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital for an autopsy,” Faruk said.
