TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chinese multinational technology company Huawei has officially launched the Huawei ASEAN Academy Engineering Institute in Indonesia on Monday, January 25. The company said this would help develop Indonesia’s human resources competence in the field of information and communications technology.

Citing Antara News on January 25, Huawei Indonesia CEO and Huawei ASEAN Academy President, Jacky Chen, said he would continue to commit to Indonesia’s vision to enter the top five of the world’s digital economy power by 2045.

He also mentioned that the academy would aim at increasing the competence of 100,000 of Indonesia’s digital resources.

The Huawei ASEAN Academy comprises a business college, a technical college, an engineering college, and is equipped with 100 trainers, over 3,000 training programs, and more than 100 mirroring environments.

This academy aims at helping develop people on telecommunication firm managerial skills up to certified training programs for tech-based developments. The academy’s engineering college will also take participants from subcontractor technicians or vocational school students in the field of information and communications technology.
