TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the candidate to fill the National Police Chief, on Wednesday’s fit and proper test with members of the House of Representatives (DPR) said that he intends to improve on how police serve the public and pledges to make calling the police as easy as ordering pizza.

“I hope that in the future, people can reach for police as easy as ordering pizza,” said Listyo Sigit on Wednesday, January 20.

In order to achieve this goal, he said, a single contact number will be established for a nationwide use. Listyo said this number will be directly connected to the police’s ‘panic button system’ and to police patrol cars.

The future National Police Chief said that adapting this new system will take time and explained that it will be implemented gradually along with the National Police equipment update to make the changes effective.
