TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State airport operator Angkasa Pura II will implement the pre-order system for passengers intending to take the PCR swab test and rapid antigen test. This policy was set following the long line of people who ordered the rapid antigen test at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Friday, December 18.

“There’s an increase of passengers’ density waiting to take the PCR swab test and Antigen rapid test. We’re implementing the pre-order system in the near future to minimize the long queue,” Awaluddin said in a virtual discussion on Saturday, December 19.

He said the system would be available in the next 2-4 days. AP II to provide an application connecting to airport services which include the feature to order Covid-19 tests.

According to Awaluddin, the transformation in covid-19 test service would be applied for a long-term during the pandemic; not only to anticipate the upcoming year-end holidays.

He went on to say that his office must be ready to adapt to the rapid changes and that the company prioritizes the interest of their service users.

Angkasa Pura II provides the rapid antigen test and PCR swab test at its airports. The Antigen rapid test price is set at Rp200,000 and the result will be ready in 15 minutes, while the PCR test tariff is set at Rp800,000, and the result will be out within 24 hours.

Several regional governments, such as Bali and Yogyakarta, have imposed for visitors to show their negative result of the rapid Antigen test or PCR swab test during the Christmas and New year holidays.
