Shell Indonesia, Gojek Partner Up to Enhance Digital Services

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Shell Retail Indonesia has partnered with Indonesian multi-service app Gojek to provide Shell gas stations with the digital payment system GoPay and GoFood to support Deli2go branches located in every of its gas stations.

VP Marketing of Shell Retail Indonesia Vandra Laura wrote in Wednesday’s press release that the collaboration is part of the company’s strategies “to swiftly adapt to the lifedata-style shift that is currently taking place, especially amid the ongoing pandemic.”

She also mentioned aspects regarding accessibility and convenience that would be produced from this partnership. It will also create new demands from customers through the move Shell and Gojek deemed as a “digital solution.”

According to Audrey P. Petriny, Gojek VP of Corporate Communications, the partnership is also a key ingredient to bridge the public’s needs, especially during the rough times of the COVID-19 pandemic which forces people to adapt to activities that comply with existing health protocols.
