Covid-19 Daily Update: Indonesia Sees More than 2,000 New Cases

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia reported that 2,381 more people have tested positive for Covid-19 as per Wednesday, July 29. The country now has recorded a total of 104,432 confirmed cases.
The National Covid-19 Task Force said that the number of daily recoveries rose by 1,599, bringing the tally up to 62,138.
Meanwhile, 74 people died from the virus. Indonesia's Covid-19 deaths have reached 4,975.
The government is still monitoring 57,393 suspects.
Previously, the National Covid-19 Task Force chief, Doni Monardo, said that authorities still cannot provide an estimate on when Indonesia will reach the peak of coronavirus outbreak. Doni said the rate of transmission still fluctuates, with several regions showing upticks and others declining.
"We all must realize that Covid-19 is a real threat. It is a dangerous virus that can take lives," he asserted.
