TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Metro Jaya Police Chief Insp. Gen. Nana Sudjana confirmed that a child predator Francois Abello Camille a.k.a Fran or Mister, 65, is threatened to face death sentence and chemical castration for sexually abusing 305 minors.

The French citizen always recorded all his immoral acts.

“The perpetrator is threatened with death punishment, life imprisonment or a minimum of 10 years, and chemical castration,” said Nana at the Jakarta Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Thursday, July 9, 2020.

Nana explained that Fran targeted street children aged between 10-17 years by making promises that they would become famous models.

Based on the results of an interim investigation, Fran has entered and exited Indonesia since 2015 by using a tourist visa. On his last visit, he stayed for nine months in Jakarta, from December 2019 to June 2020.

Nana further mentioned that the arrest was based on the public’s reports. The police had spied the child molester for the past three months before he was arrested in a hotel room in Taman Sari, West Jakarta at the end of June 2020.

The police seized pieces of evidence including sex drugs, sex tools, condoms, six cameras, passport, laptop, up to 21 pieces of sexy costumes in children’s size.

Nana elaborated that the child predator is charged under five articles, including Article 81 on child abuse in conjunction with Article 76D of Law No. 17/2016.
