TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan chaired Jakarta’s COVID-19 Task Force first meeting, discussing methods preventing further spread of the pandemic. He conveyed four things that should be the focus of attention for the task force team in dealing with the coronavirus.
"First, [is] health. Prepare well how we can support our entire medical personnel," Anies said in a meeting video on Monday, March 16, 2020, shared through the Jakarta Government's Youtube account.
Continuing on, the governor also reminded the task force in ensuring the availability and accessibility of food supplies in reaching Jakarta residents and households during the ‘work from home’ period.
"It's not just food supplies reaching the market," he said. “During isolation, (we ensure) how food supplies get to every house that is isolated."
Thirdly, Anies Baswedan highlighted the task force has the obligation to regulate people's mobility. "Who can move where, who cannot move. Who stays (at home), who does not," he said.
Lastly, the focus of Jakarta’s Covid-19 Task Force is communication patterns during the current period in the capital. Interactions between the state personnel, such as between the Provincial Government and the Indonesian National Army (TNI) or the Indonesian Police (Polri), must be in harmony.
On top of that, the Provincial Government also needs to ensure people's communication.
