TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Another resident of Depok has reportedly been evacuated to Sulianti Saroso Infectious Disease Hospital (RSPI Sulianti Saroso) on Monday in relation to the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.

Sukmajaya Police Chief Adj. Comr. Ibrahim Sadjab revealed that the individual worked as a household assistant to the previously confirmed coronavirus case.

According to the police chief, there were two ambulances that arrived at the home of Indonesia’s first two coronavirus cases. “Yes, one person was taken by the ambulance,” said Ibrahim in Depok, West Java.

A police line was installed surrounding the home of the coronavirus patients. The police also barred local residents from entering the 20-meter perimeter the police set around the house. This adds to the previous two coronavirus patients who are already under intensive care at RSPI Sulianto Saroso.

Depok mayor Mohamad Idris said earlier two of his residents had tested positive for COVID-19 and both had been rushed to RSPI Sulianti Saroso. Besides the two, there were around 50 COVID-19 suspects in Depok city, but they had been confirmed yet, he added.

“These more than 50 people were the ones in direct contact with the patients, but this is yet to be proven. We will immediately follow-up on this issue once a report is filed from the local community health center (puskesmas).”
