TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform, Tjahjo Kumolo, lauded the Jakarta Metro Police for its effort in seizing hundreds of kilograms of illegal drugs within only two months in 2020.

According to Minister Tjahjo, narcotics is Indonesia's number one threat.

"Drugs is Indonesia's number one enemy, the second is radicalism and the third is corruption," said Tjahyo at the Jakarta Metro Police HQ in South Jakarta when participating in destroying the narcotics on Wednesday, February 19.

Minister Tjahjo Kumolo stated that illicit drugs have no benefits. "This is trash. It's useless," he said.

Jakarta Metro Police destroyed 1,343.3 kg marijuana, 288 kg methamphetamine, 4,888 ecstasy pills, 1,485 excimer pills, and 349 tramadol pills.

The police confiscated evidence from 36 suspects, one of whom was Lucinta Luna. The drug destruction was led directly by the National Deputy Police Chief Commissioner General Gatot Eddy Pramono and the Jakarta Police Chief Inspector General Gatot Eddy Pramono.
