TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned railway operator PT KAI stated that regular train tickets for Eid homecoming or commonly known as Lebaran this year are available starting Day-90 of the Islamic holiday or February 14, 2020.
KAI President Director Edi Sukmoro in a written statement said that the ticket can be purchased starting 12 p.m. on Friday, February 14, for the departure date from Day-10 or May 14 via the KAI website, KAI Access app, and all official channels.
The human relations manager of KAI regional operation or Daop 8 Surabaya, Suprapto, said that his office had optimized the ticket purchasing system in a bid to anticipate the rising number of buyers by increasing the server and bandwidth capacity.
“Make sure to book a ticket through official KAI channels or partners to avoid fraud, system failure, or unreasonable service costs,” he underlined.
Suprapto further reminded people to use a stable internet connection, decide the departure date and the alternatives prior to the ticket booking, as well as check the ticket availability regularly.
