Novel Baswedan Receives International Anti-Corruption Award

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigator Novel Baswedan received the International Anti-corruption Award 2020 from the Prime International Anti-Corruption Champion Foundation (PIACCF).

The award was presented to Novel through an invitation letter sent by the founder of PIACCF, Dato' Muhammad Salim Sundar, on Wednesday, January 29, 2020.

“It is an honor for us, who are fighting to eradicate corruption, to receive the invitation for the award,” Novel told Tempo on Thursday, January 30, 2020.

The award will be given to Novel at the launch of the event on February 11, 2020, in the Putrajaya Marriott Hotel, Putrajaya, Malaysia.

The event will be hosted by Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad. Regarding his departure to Malaysia, Novel said he is still proposing it to the KPK leadership.
