TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Regional Secretary Saefullah, said that the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) should first clarify issues concerning the National Monument (Monas) revitalization project before making reports to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

"Executive and legislative [bodies] are partners. If there atre misunderstanding and other [issues], clarify. I think it is the first step that must be done," Saefullah said on Friday, January 24, 2020.

Saefullah the executive body is ready to be summoned by the Jakarta Regional Representatives Council to provide explanation concerning the revitalization project. "We are ready to provide explanation with authentic evidence," Saefullah said.

On Friday, January 24, 2020, the PSI advocacy team reported the Jakarta Provincial Government to the KPK for alleged corruption in the Monas revitalization project. "We are committed to safeguard the people's money. Especially recently the social media was crowded with news about the Monas revitalization project contractor," said a member of the advocacy team Patriot Muslim on Thursday, January 23, 2020.

Patriot explained that based on media invvestigation and searches made by the advocacy team, the contractor's office, which is said to be located in Ciracas, were not found. Other information suggested that the office of the contractor is located on Jalan Letjen Suprapto in Cempaka Putih.

"It is even unclear, more people said they don't know when we investigate [the location] on Jalan Letjen Suprapto," Patriot said.

Following the suspicious address, PSI suspected that there are violations against the Government Goods and Services Procurement Policy Agency. "Is this a contractor company? Or is this suspected to be a paper company or flag company, this violates another regulation if it is," Patriot said.

The KPK requested PSI to complete the files and documents for the report. "All reports will be examined by the Public Report team, there are several documents still required by the Public Report team," KPK spokesman Ali Fikri said.
