Gerindra Party Asserts Prabowo Subianto Yet to Issue Cabinet Composition

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Gerindra Party Executive Chairman Sufmi Dasco Ahmad emphasized that the president-elect Prabowo Subianto has yet to issue an official cabinet composition.
"We emphasize once again that Mr. Prabowo and his team have not issued (cabinet composition)," said Dasco in a statement as reported by Antara, on Sunday, April 28, 2024. Dasco dismissed the widely spread list of cabinet composition as untrue.
"For the general public and Prabowo-Gibran’s supporters, we would like to confirm that the various versions of cabinet composition that spread recently are all false,” he said.
According to Dasco, Prabowo is still conducting studies to formulate the cabinet composition. "Mr. Prabowo is still looking at the existing portfolios, and carrying out studies of the existing ministries. So, it feels too early to announce the cabinet composition," he said.
Dasco believed the widely circulated list of Prabowo-Gibran cabinet composition may be a form of public aspiration. On Thursday last week, the Secretary General of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani, stated that the conditions for becoming President Prabowo's assistant are those who understand and agree with the president's programs.
The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) welcomes non-Onward Indonesia Coalition parties who aim to join the Prabowo-Gibran government. PSI Chair Grace Natalie claimed that the best way for the coalition is to collaborate with all parties. “Learning from President Jokowi, it is best to collaborate if Indonesia wants to progress,” she said on Sunday, April 28, 2024.
It is reported that several rival parties in the recent election have expressed their support for Prabowo-Gibran, including the NasDem Party, the National Awakening Party (PKB), and the United Development Party (PPP). Additionally, the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) also expressed its willingness to meet Prabowo Subianto soon.
