TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Metro Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Yusri Yunus said that his side will revoke the firearm license of Abdul Malik, an owner of sports car Lamborghini who was named suspect over pointing the gun to two students in Kemang, South Jakarta.

Abdul got the permit from National Police since June 2019. “We will revoke the license as he is no longer worthy to have a permit following his arbitrary acts,” said Yusri at police HQ, South Jakarta, Tuesday, December 24.

Yusri said that Abdul, who joined the Indonesian Shooting and Hunting Association (Perbakin), had an ownership permit of a 33 caliber for his personal security.

On Saturday, December 21, at around 4:30 p.m., the property entrepreneur aimed his gun towards two high-school students identified as A and I in Kemang, South Jakarta, after both spotted and praised Abdul’s sports car.

However, Abdul who was behind the wheel was raged by the two students and urged them to stop while pointing his gun and even firing it to the air.

“The victims were chased, and Abdul took another shot. Victims were ordered to lay down but refused, and he again fired one shot. So he made three shots,” Yusri added.

Fortunately, people at the site honked their horns so that the perpetrator backed to his car, and the victims ran away to a nearby supermarket.

The police charged Abdul Malik with Article 336 of the Criminal Code on the threat, and so the Lamborghini owner faced one-year imprisonment.
