TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Police have secured the wife of RMN, 24, the suicide bomber at Medan Resort Police headquarters, identified as DA. The arrest was carried out when the Police’s anti-terrorism squad Densus 88 searched the suspect’s house after the bomb explosion on November 13.

National Police spokesman Brig. Gen. Dedi Prasetyo said that based on the examination result, DA was exposed to terrorism before the husband.

“DA is active on social media and she physically communicated with a terrorist inmate I who is serving at Correctional Institution,” said Dedi in Police HQ, Kelapa Dua, Depok, Thursday, November 14.

DA, Dedi went on, regularly visited I, and both had planned to carry out an attack in Bali. Densus 88 were still investigating the plan.

“The investigation is still afoot, both to RMN and his wife, DA, whether they have structured network or not,” he added.

RMN, believed to be a lone wolf, was seen wearing an online ojek jacket. The bomb went off after he made into the crowd of people who were queuing to apply the police clearance report (SKCK) at Medan Resort Police headquarters.

Six people were injured in the attack comprising four police officers, one civil citizen, and one non-permanent worker. All victims were undergoing medical treatment in North Sumatra Police Hospital.
