TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The government is auctioning five series of islamic bonds or sukuk worth a total of Rp7 trillion today, October 29. The types of sukuks auctioned are the sharia-state treasuries (SPN-S) and project-based sukuk (PBS).
The bond issuance is aimed at meeting parts of the state's financing target as set oit in the 2018 State Budget.
The five sukuk series offered are the SPN-S 02042020 that matures on April 2, 2020; the PBS002 (January 15, 2022); PBS026 (October 15, 2024); the PBS022 (April 15, 2034); and the PBS015 (July 15, 2047)
In the current year, the total outstanding value of state sukuk has reached Rp456.84 trillion. For this year, the net issuance target was set at Rp389.0 trillion.
Today's auction is the second out of six auctions planned for Q4/2019, the Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management (DJPPR) said in its website.
During the previous auction, the government garnered Rp7.04 trillion proceeds from a total bid of Rp29.09 trillion.
