Govt Absorbs Rp7tn from Auctioning Six Sukuk Series

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The government absorbed Rp7 trillion in funds from an auction of state sharia securities (SBSN) or state sukuk on May 23, 2023. The total bids that came in amounted to Rp54.75 trillion.
The auction was held as a way to source funds to meet part of the financing target in the 2023 State Budget (APBN).
The Finance Ministry's Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management recorded six series of SBSN that were auctioned: SPNS07112023, PBS036, PBS003, PBS037, PBS034, and PBS033. All series were auctioned through the Bank Indonesia auction system.
"The biggest proceed of Rp2.35 trillion came from the auction of the PBS003 series, which received an offer of Rp7.26 trillion, with a weighted average (yield) won of six percent," an official statement was released in Jakarta, Tuesday, May 23.
The next largest absorbed fund of Rp2.15 trillion came from the PBS036 auction, which received Rp15.54 trillion worth of bids, with a weighted average yield won of 5.96816 percent.
