TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A number of the Transjakarta bus routes that have been diverted since Tuesday, September 14 due to student demonstrations at the Parliament Building, Senayan, Central Jakarta have operated normally on Wednesday morning at 08:15 Jakarta time.

"The route services affected by the rally at the DPR-MPR building have been back to normal," said the bus operator’s Head of Corporate Secretary and Public Relations Division Nadia Diposanjoyo in a written statement, Wednesday, September 25.

Previously, seven bus routes were diverted as two bus stops went damage, namely JCC Senayan and Slipi Petamburan. The routes included Pinang Ranti-Pluit, Poris-Gelora Bung Karno, Palmerah Station-Tosari, and TU Gas-Grogol 2.

According to Nadia, the two bus stops were damaged during the students' protests which led to the riots. The shelters’ glass walls were broken and vandalized.

PT Transjakarta, Nadia went on, immediately carried out repairment so as to cater to passengers. "The team has recovered it so that [the bus shelters] can be functioned again," she added.
